Daily fantasy sports provider PrizePicks has announced that Marcus Sandford is joining the company as Chief Financial Officer, and former Chief Financial Officer Ari Koteles has moved to the new role of Chief Business Officer.
Sandford previously was Chief Financial Officer at Blizzard Entertainment.
“Since joining PrizePicks, I have been impressed by the exceptional talent and capabilities of our team. As we continue to scale our business, we see an opportunity to better harness our strengths and exceed player expectations with continued innovation and a renewed focus,” PrizePicks CEO Mike Ybarra said in a news release. “Prior to joining PrizePicks, I worked closely with Marcus over the past six years scaling a multibillion-dollar gaming business, and I know that he will accelerate our growth ambitions.”
Ybarra took over as PrizePicks CEO in August, one of many changes to the business in a busy 2024. The company launched in its 35th state in August and has signed partnerships with professional sports teams like the Atlanta Braves and upgraded its responsible gambling offering through a deal with Epic Global Solutions.
“I am thrilled to join Mike and the talented team at PrizePicks,” Sanford said in a release. “The company’s relentless commitment to innovation and focus on delivering the best, most differentiated products to players uniquely positions PrizePicks for accelerated growth.”
