The Sportradar Group, a global provider of sports data and content, has announced the appointment of Michael C. Miller as Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, as well as Corporate Secretary, starting October 21. He will replace Lynn S. McCreary, who will transition to a senior consulting role for the CEO until her retirement at the end of the year.
Michael Miller, 52, joins Sportradar with over two decades of legal and business experience, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Development and Corporate Affairs and Chief Legal Officer at Barnes & Noble Education.
His previous positions at Monster.com, Symbol Technologies, and other private sector companies have equipped him with solid experience in legal, governmental, and corporate development matters.
"I am pleased to welcome Michael to our executive leadership team. An experienced and impactful legal and business leader, I am confident that he will build on our strong foundation and bring continued strategic focus to our growing business", said Carsten Koerl, CEO and founder of Sportradar.
Koerl also praised CLO McCreary for her contributions during her tenure, noting that she played a key role in guiding Sportradar through its initial public offering and in establishing robust legal, risk, and compliance programs.
"Lynn has been a valuable advisor to the Sportradar board of directors, the executive leadership team, and to me since I joined the company in 2021", added Koerl.
McCreary said: "I am proud to have served Sportradar during this important time in the company's growth and development and to have led a team of extraordinary professionals". She added that she looks forward to partnering with Miller to ensure a smooth transition in the coming months.
