The regulation of iGaming in Brazil emerges as a key piece for building a fair and responsible environment, as well as providing a balanced competitive arena for companies operating in the sector. At this moment, discussions about the responsibility of operators and the prohibition of using Bolsa Família funds and credit cards have been on the agenda. For Marcio Malta, CEO of Sorte Online, the measures will bring more security to the end consumer.
The sector continues to grow rapidly, presenting challenges and opportunities also on a significant scale. To give an idea, according to recent data from the Central Bank, about 24 million people have shown interest in this entertainment model until August this year.
In this context, Sorte Online, a reference company in the sector of digital intermediation of lotteries for 21 years, positions itself firmly and proactively regarding the regulation of betting in Brazil. The company not only advocates the need for a regulatory framework but also acts by example, adopting practices that prioritize transparency and responsibility.
It was one of the 113 companies that applied for licensing in the initial deadline until August 20, together with SIGAP (Betting Management System), a technological solution created by the Ministry of Finance for the regulation, monitoring, and supervision of the betting market in the country.
“We believe that regulation is not just a formality, but a commitment to the integrity of the sector and the protection of our customers. It is essential that all companies operate under the same guidelines to ensure a safe, responsible, and reliable environment”, states Márcio Malta, CEO of Sorte Online.
The company gained prominence after its long trajectory in emphasizing the best practices of the sector and promoting discussions and educational content about responsible gaming, even before the formalization of these norms, which will only take effect in January of next year.
Among the main rules under discussion are the prohibition of the use of credit cards and the use of government benefits such as Bolsa Família. The idea is to protect bettors, inhibiting default and preventing crimes such as money laundering.
Therefore, regulation is seen by many experts as a watershed that will strengthen companies committed to ethics and customer safety.
“Regulation brings a seal of quality and commitment, differentiating companies that truly dedicate themselves to building a solid market. For us, regulation should also be seen as recognition of years of ethical work and a continuous effort to build a more solid and reliable market”, highlights Malta.
The statement seems to be heading in the right direction. Even before the deadline (January 2025), the Federal Government decided to block bets that, until now, have not even started their regularization processes. The list of bets that operate according to the regulation was published this Tuesday (2) and those that are illegal will have their sites taken down starting on the 11th – the order will be officialized by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel).
It is in this context that the company has stood out. Since its foundation, Sorte Online has invested in good practices, creating a robust compliance department that guides all areas of the company, in addition to having a team of experienced executives. The approach is reflected in its reputation on Reclame AQUI, where the company maintains high customer satisfaction rates.
“Even without formal regulation, we have implemented a customer-oriented support system, treating each case in a personalized way, with transparency and efficiency. We are here to ensure that Brazilian bettors can continue playing in a safe environment, with responsibility, and knowing that they are interacting with a company that prioritizes good practices”, concludes Malta.
Founded in 2003, the platform stands out in the market for digital intermediation of lottery games, having already distributed approximately R$ 250 million in prizes to players across the country. With great pioneering spirit and extensive investments in technology, Sorte Online offers a complete platform, with digital solutions that allow greater ease and security for bettors to play the desired lottery and also have access to shares of elaborated betting pools.
Its major market differentiator is the use of data intelligence and statistics applied to the platform, which exponentially increases the chances of winning. On its online channel, it is also possible to access tips, news, statistics, probabilities, and the results of lotteries in real time.

In a relaxed and fun meeting, the MSL Group and the State Lottery of Minas Gerais celebrated the launch of the disruptive "Trem das 11". Among authorities, press, and merchants, the team presented all the attractions of the new product at the Praia do Buritis space in Belo Horizonte, to the contagious sound of the Traditionally Group.
The new lottery game in the "Passive or Traditional Lottery" mode will pass on 21% of the net revenue from sales to social actions developed by the State Government of Minas, in addition to fostering retail with an exciting and affordable product.
For the CEO of Grupo Mineira da Sorte Loterias, Roberto Quattrini, the new product will stimulate the economy of Minas Gerais, awarding thousands of people every week.
"This is an innovative and exciting lottery game. It is a legal game that protects the consumer, with a considerable percentage of prizes and unmatched by the capitalization titles offered to the people of Minas so far", he says.
The game is defined by the 11/22 modality, with a total of twenty-two numbers, in which eleven numbers can be drawn, starting at 01 and ending at 22, totaling 705,432 distinct combinations.
There are two forms of drawings, one mechanical through the numbers for the main draw, and the other in an automated and digital form for the regional draws, ensuring total randomness in the award process.
In the main draw, mechanical, the winners of the main prize will be the bettors who hit eleven (11) or no numbers (zero hits). It also wins second, third, and fourth prizes, consecutively, with 10 or 1, 9 or 2, and 8 or 3 hits. The drawn values range from R$ 5 to R$ 250,000 and will be announced prior to the start of ticket sales for each extraction.
In the case of the main draw not having winners of the 11, or in the zero (0) hits, the main prizes of the following draws will be increased (accumulation or jackpot modality).
In the regional draws, there is no accumulation, and the bettors will be divided based on where they purchased the ticket into 12 subgroups, according to the 12 mesoregions of the state of Minas Gerais established by the IBGE. For each region, the draws provide for the awarding of regional prizes if the bettor registers the ticket in the app (APP) that will be made available soon.
The consumer can also purchase the "Casadinha" bet. In this case, the ticket comes with the normal bet and a mirror version, i.e., with all the remaining numbers. In this way, the bettor competes with all 22 (twenty-two) available numbers (from 01 to 22), distributed in two versions purchased.
With a cost of R$ 5 (R$ 10 in the case of Casadinha), the product is sold exclusively at points of sale authorized by MSL throughout the territory of Minas Gerais and has been available since September 30.
