You started working at Altenar three and a half years ago. What was your perception of the brand’s culture when you began? How would you assess your time at the company?
I found it to be a very familiar culture. When I started at Altenar, it was one of my first experiences in the online gaming industry. I had previously worked with an operator and then I moved to the B2B side of the sector. When I started, we were a relatively small team: around 200 people. It felt great to work with such professional colleagues and, above all, to be willing to always collaborate, help and teach. Since I joined, there has been massive progress in all areas of the business. From people joining the team, to clients, billing, and even products. Altenar has experienced exponential growth in all aspects of the business, and this is something we hope will continue to happen in the years to come.
How has the company’s presence in Latin America and Europe evolved over the last three years? What is your vision of the business potential of both regions?
The presence in both territories has intensified because we have signed agreements with very good partners in the two regions. We have continued to increase our presence in Latin American countries such as Peru, Mexico and Brazil thanks to key agreements. The same happened in Europe as we opened new markets like Hungary, the Czech Republic and Georgia. What we hope to see in the coming months, and even years, is to continue with our current growth in the countries in which we are already present and also to augment that list of territories in which we are working.
At the end of June 2024, the firm signed a strategic alliance with SCCG Managed Services for the United States. What added value does this agreement bring and what are Altenar’s plans for this market?
The agreement adds a lot of value to us. Thanks to the partnership with SCCG Managed Services, we have become one of the providers of their technology for commercial and tribal casinos in the U.S. market. We want to continue learning about this territory and be able to provide our services and software to local companies. Through SCCG Managed Services and its important portfolio of contacts, we hope to gain visibility and traction in operators who may be potentially interested in the services of both the technology provider and ours.
Altenar has always stood out for being a company that innovates and permanently updates its products. What are the main novelties you have introduced in your solutions?
We focus on having cutting-edge technology and innovative products. For this reason, we have been developing new front-end versions of our software to make it more user-friendly and dynamic. We continue to work on our promotional tools, such as same game parlays and advanced rewards mechanisms. Besides, we have just launched our new Boost the Odds feature, which basically allows operators to boost the odds to a certain number that they want. We also produce a kind of lottery or sports jackpot where we can define that several users win a prize based on the number of bets. Moreover, we are investing a lot in artificial intelligence to be able to give attractive recommendations to our operators’ users. We will keep on developing products and features that allow our operators to increase user retention and acquisition through promotions.
What are your professional goals for the rest of 2024
Personally, in 2024, my goal is to continue helping the company open new markets and expand our presence in the territories where we are already present, such as Latin America and Europe.
