On September 6, Dana Sandoval, spokesperson for the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in the Philippines, stated that Wesley Guo is expected to be arrested soon in Indonesia. Wesley Guo currently has no travel records indicating departure from Indonesia, hence it is speculated that he is still within the country.
The immigration office revealed that Indonesian authorities have been searching for Wesley Guo, and coordination between Indonesia and the Philippines went smoothly after Huaping Guo was arrested early Wednesday morning (September 4) in Tangerang City.
In August, Indonesian authorities also arrested Shiela Guo and her companion Cassandra Li Ong in Batam City. Shiela, along with Wesley Guo and Huaping Guo, had left the Philippines, passing through Malaysia and Singapore, before finally arriving in Batam Island, Indonesia. Shiela and Cassandra were subsequently arrested on Batam Island, while Wesley Guo's whereabouts remain uncertain.
Wesley Guo is considered a key target in the Senate arrest orders, having attempted to fly to Hong Kong in the last week of August but failed. There are reports that due to the arrest of his family members, Wesley has been contemplating surrendering himself.
Previously, Shiela stated that Cassandra is Wesley Guo's girlfriend and is associated with the Lucky South 99 online gambling center.
