Last Friday (23), the Brazilian Futsal Team conducted a special event aimed at the upcoming Futsal World Cup, which starts next month in Uzbekistan. The event, organized by EstrelaBet, the team's sponsor, featured players called up for the World Cup and took place in the Tavares Bastos Community, in the Catete neighborhood, southern zone of Rio de Janeiro, with the goal of bringing athletes and fans closer together.
The event also left a legacy for the community, through the revitalization of the Tavares Bastos Sports Court, where the activities were held. All renovation costs were covered by EstrelaBet.
The day's schedule also included activities involving the residents from morning till late afternoon, including training sessions with the players and youths from social projects, photo sessions and autographs, FreeStyle Football clinics, among other activities. There were also prize challenges and media coverage.
These initiatives are part of EstrelaBet's project aimed at boosting engagement and mobilizing the country to follow the team's quest for their sixth world title. With the goal of reviving the essence of Brazilian futsal, the company became the main sponsor of the Brazilian Futsal Team in 2022.
“We always strive to be close to the Brazilian Team. It's an initiative that aims to create a connection between the fans and the athletes, with the World Cup in mind. Besides the interaction activities, we have provided a completely remodeled sports court for the residents. It's a way to reignite the passion for futsal and also to enable more people to practice it in the community,” emphasizes Leandro Figueiredo, head of sponsorships at EstrelaBet.
Brazil is the most successful nation in the history of FIFA Futsal World Cups and has not won a title since 2012. As the leader of the world ranking, the national team is one of the favorites for the world title.
