01. Alice Guo Arrives in Indonesia on August 18, 2024

The Philippine Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) revealed that the dismissed mayor of Bamban, Alice Guo, has left the Philippines and has visited at least three Southeast Asian countries, the most recent being Indonesia.

PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio stated that Alice Guo arrived in Indonesia on August 18. According to immigration records from foreign partners, it has been confirmed that Guo has left the Philippines.

She flew from Denpasar, Indonesia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 18, aboard Batik Air flight 177. Subsequently, she took Jetstar Asia flight 686 from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore on July 21.

On August 18, she arrived in Batam Island, Indonesia by ferry from Singapore. Previously, the Director of Immigration, Norman Tansingco, stated that the Immigration Bureau received intelligence that Guo had illegally traveled to Malaysia in July and flew to Singapore with Shiela Guo and Wesley Guo on July 21. Despite the Department of Justice placing Alice Guo on the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO), her departure records did not appear in the immigration system and central database.

The Immigration Bureau has deployments at all conventional international entry and exit points, such as international airports and seaports, while informal exit points are managed and monitored by other aviation or maritime institutions.

Senator Risa Hontiveros also mentioned in the Senate session on August 18 that she received information indicating that Alice Guo had left the Philippines for Kuala Lumpur on July 18, entering Malaysia at 12:17 PM that day. Hontiveros also revealed that Guo used her Philippine passport to exit the country.

According to her sources, after traveling to Malaysia, Guo went to Singapore to meet her father, mother, brother, and Cassandra Ong, a representative of the Lucky South 99 POGO center in Bang Bang Ya, which was subjected to a raid.

02. Alice Guo's Lawyer Claims Dismissed Mayor Still in the Philippines

Following Senator Risa Hontiveros' claim on the afternoon of August 19 that the dismissed mayor of Bamban, Alice Guo, had left the Philippines and entered Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 18, Guo's legal advisor stated that the former mayor is still within the Philippines.

Lawyer Stephen David, in an interview, said: "When this news came out, I immediately called her. I asked her, 'They are looking for you again, where are you? Have you left the Philippines?' She answered 'no'."

David's statement seems to contradict previous reports claiming that Guo had left the Philippines and traveled between multiple Southeast Asian countries. However, Guo herself, through her lawyer, denied these allegations, stating she is still in the country.

03. Immigration Bureau Suspects Alice Guo's Illegal Departure

The Director of the Philippine Immigration Bureau, Norman Tansingco, stated that they have reason to suspect that the suspended mayor of Bamban, Tarlac, Alice Guo, departed illegally without the necessary checks by the Philippine Immigration Bureau.

Tansingco stated that they received intelligence that Guo had illegally traveled to Malaysia in early July and subsequently flew to Singapore. It is alleged that Guo, along with her sister (Shiela Leal Guo) and brother (Wesley Leal Guo), flew to Singapore on July 21.

He further clarified that although Guo's name is on the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order issued by the Department of Justice, her departure information was not recorded in the immigration system and central database.

The Philippine Immigration Bureau has stations at all conventional international entry and exit points, such as international airports and seaports, but informal exit points are managed and monitored by other aviation or maritime institutions. Tansingco stated that so far, they have not received any reports from other agencies regarding Guo.

He also revealed that Guo and her group might have traveled to Indonesia yesterday, adding that the cancellation of Guo's Philippine travel documents could expedite her extradition process back to the country.
