Gamingtec, a provider of iGaming solutions, makes its debut on the Asian market. In an interview with SiGMA News on the sidelines of the ASEAN Gaming Summit, Gamingtec’s commercial director Andrei Beu shared insights from the company’s first event in Asia. “This is our first event in Asia and our goal is to have a presence and promote our brand in Asia,” he said.
Gamingtec is a global company providing white label and turnkey solutions, specializing in custom gaming solutions and collaborations.
Challenges and opportunities in the Asian market
Beu told SiGMA News that entering the Asian market brings both challenges and opportunities for Gamingtec.
"We see ourselves as a global company without borders. We are here to establish a foothold and penetrate the Asian market," Beu noted. He highlighted the company's real-time operations in Japan and the complexities of surviving in its highly regulated environment. "Japan has huge potential, but compliance with government regulations is the key to success," he said.
Regulatory environment in the Philippines
When discussing the regulatory environment in the Philippines, Beu was optimistic. “The iGaming scene in the Philippines is very welcoming and license availability is high. We have a PAGCOR license and the regulatory process is relatively straightforward compared to Europe or the United States,” he commented.
Beu emphasized that Gamingtec is ready to comply with any regulatory changes to ensure a stable and enabling environment for partners.
The future of iGaming in Asia and beyond
Looking ahead, Beu expressed confidence in the growth of the iGaming industry in Asia.
“The market is growing steadily and consistently,” he observed. “Just as Latin America has seen huge growth due to regulation, Asia is poised for major developments.”
Beu foresees that more markets will be regulated and attract investment, creating a vibrant iGaming ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
