On July 20th, the Chiang Mai police in Thailand launched a raid and successfully dismantled an online gambling operation targeting Chinese nationals. The hideout was located in a luxury villa, where 18 Chinese citizens were found engaging in illegal activities.
During the raid, some individuals attempted to flee, with several jumping from an 8-meter-high floor in panic, resulting in injuries to 8 people, one of whom is suspected to have a leg fracture, while the others sustained minor injuries.
The equipment seized at the scene included 20 computers, 100 mobile phones, and a large number of Chinese mobile SIM cards. Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the gang used the guise of "customer service" to induce victims to transfer money, falsely claiming to assist with issues related to airline tickets and bank accounts, but in reality, they were committing fraud.
The case is currently under further investigation, and the police are tracing the organizational structure and financial flows behind the scam based on the equipment and communication records.

So many Chinese people are too conspicuous.
Don't jungle and rent a villa, I've said it thousands of times.
Can't these scammers be stopped?
I thought it was the eighth floor, but it turned out to be eight meters.
