Kunming's wild gang busted! 11 people involved in telecom fraud arrested, case involves over 200,000 yuan.

Recently, Kunming police successfully dismantled an 11-person criminal gang that specialized in providing "line connection" technical services for telecom fraud gangs. The Guandu Sub-bureau Criminal Investigation Brigade, in collaboration with the Fude Police Station, carried out a concentrated operation to capture 11 suspects and seized a large number of mobile phones, adapters, and SIM cards at the scene.

The police reported that since April 2025, the gang has been using "two mobile phones + adapter + SIM card" in conjunction with remote control software to provide virtual call services for fraud gangs, illegally profiting over 200,000 yuan in three months, with the highest individual profit exceeding 30,000 yuan.

The investigation revealed that this group had a clear division of labor and extremely covert methods. They used technical means to disguise as local numbers, leading victims to believe they were "legitimate calls," thus cooperating with the fraud gangs to carry out crimes such as transfer inducement. Currently, all 11 suspects have been criminally detained, and the case is under further investigation.
