The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) recently cracked a transnational kidnapping case, arresting a total of 12 suspects, including 6 Chinese nationals. The police stated that a Chinese victim has been safely rescued.
According to the Philippine Police Chief Nicolas Torre III, the case was carried out by suspects of both Chinese and Filipino descent, with clear division of labor and professional methods, preliminarily determined to be organized crime. Currently, the suspects are detained, and the case is entering a deep investigation phase.
Although the police have not yet disclosed the identity of the victim and specific details of the rescue process, they emphasized that transnational kidnapping poses a serious threat to the social security and national safety of the Philippines. In the future, monitoring and international cooperation will be strengthened to prevent similar incidents from occurring again.
