On the evening of July 2, Philippine police launched a raid in the Alang-Alang area of Mandaue City, Cebu Province, dismantling a suspected online telecommunications fraud den. Eight Chinese suspects were arrested at the scene, and several victims who were illegally controlled were successfully rescued.
The operation was led by the Philippine Criminal Investigation Group (CIDG), in collaboration with forces from Central Visayas, Cebu City, provincial, and Mandaue City field police. The police entered the target location with a search warrant issued by the court, seizing a large number of laptops, mobile phones, and other communication devices used for online fraud.
Shockingly, some of the victims had visible external injuries, including leg fractures and severe bandaging of limbs, suggesting they had been subjected to violence while being forced to engage in fraud. The scene was described as a "digital slave labor camp," where violent control and high-pressure coercion coexisted.
According to preliminary investigations, the fraud gang is suspected of illegal detention, forced labor, human trafficking, violent injury, and other serious crimes. The police have classified this case as a major transnational crime and have launched further investigations.
As for whether the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines has intervened, there is currently no official response.

80% of the junglers are reported, do you know to keep a low profile?

The Chinese embassy will never respond.
Still engaging in soft violence in the Philippines.
It was clicked, right?

Going to Cebu to play wild is smart, but getting caught makes it not so smart.
