Every year I go to Cambodia, and every year I return home, never having been checked. This time, I was genuinely scared and will never go out again.
From Phnom Penh to Guangzhou, everything was normal upon landing, just like before. But when it came to fingerprint verification, I couldn't get through. I saw the prosecutor across using a pager, talking about something that seemed directed at me. I quickly disembarked from the plane, and within a minute, a female customs officer took my phone and passport and gestured for me to follow her. I followed them into a room where several others were being interrogated.
After entering, no one talked to me for about 10 minutes until two people came to take me for a discussion. They asked what I did outside, and I blurted out that I worked at a KTV. They asked which KTV, and I made up one. The male officer mentioned Carnival KTV, the Oscar hotspot, and asked if I had been there and if I had used drugs.
At that moment, I realized they suspected me of drug use. But I was lucky; I never touch drugs, so I felt confident because I knew they were looking in the wrong direction.
Then the female officer said they had a photo of me and urged me to admit it early. I asked, "Admit what? You want to take me for a blood test?" Seeing that I was forthcoming, they checked my phone, WeChat, photos, and tried various ways to get information. Finally, after about two hours, they let me go.
A reminder to everyone: when you go to KTV or out to have fun, don't take photos!
After returning from Cambodia, I was interrogated for two hours.

Every time I return from the Philippines, my heart races when passing through customs.
So far, I haven't been checked yet...
