Work Visa (Residence Visa – Employment Category) Application Process

Obtain an employment contract: First, sign an employment contract with a legally registered company in Sri Lanka.

Employer applies for entry visa approval: The employer applies to the Sri Lankan Department of Immigration and Emigration for entry visa approval.

Collect the entry visa at the overseas consulate: Once approved, the applicant goes to the nearest Sri Lankan consulate abroad, where an entry visa is affixed to the passport, usually valid for 30 days.
