According to Channel NewsAsia, Elon Musk's "Starlink" satellite internet devices are being widely used by scam operations in Southeast Asia, adversely affecting the anti-fraud efforts of law enforcement agencies in multiple countries. As of the time of reporting, SpaceX, the company behind "Starlink," has not yet responded.
In March of this year, Thai MP Rangsiman Rome also publicly named Musk, accusing him of allowing Starlink devices to be used for large-scale regional fraud activities. He stated that there is "conclusive evidence" that several scam parks in Southeast Asia are using Starlink to connect to the outside world.
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime has also confirmed that internet service providers are selling Starlink equipment to remote scam parks.
At least 8 cyber fraud parks deployed, Musk's Starlink questioned as an accomplice in telecommunications fraud!
