Dear netizens, I need help!

My passport will expire in 3 months, and I am currently in the Philippines with a valid visa. However, I heard that a passport needs to have at least 6 months of validity to be considered valid. I am not sure if I can return to my country directly under this circumstance, or if I need to apply for a travel document instead.

Does anyone have personal experience with having less than 6 months of passport validity and still being able to board a plane, exit, or enter a country? Please share your experiences and advice. Thank you!
