I'm not sure if this method has been used before, but it's my first encounter and it's quite clever.
It mainly involves stealing a friend's account to lower your guard, then making you search in a way that exposes the login code sent to you via Telegram.
After I replied with a picture indicating my willingness to cooperate, a new login code was sent. If you were still on the search page, you might accidentally overlook it and send the code.
The scammer is quite something.

You must set a login password for Telegram, otherwise it's like running naked.
So you need to set up two-factor authentication, even if they get the login code, it's useless without the password.
This move is quite slick; I think it could become a classic case study for social engineering.
