The National Science and Technology Crime Investigation Bureau recently launched a large-scale operation, successfully dismantling the criminal gang behind the notorious online gambling site "Macau888". Raids were conducted in multiple locations in Bangkok and Nonthaburi Province, successfully destroying three criminal dens.
This operation not only demonstrated the Thai government's firm determination to combat cybercrime but also showcased the efficiency and professionalism of the Thai police to the international community.
According to the director of the Science and Technology Crime Investigation Bureau, the police conducted meticulous intelligence gathering and deployment before the operation to ensure its smooth implementation. At the "S-Car Import Car" company located on Thanon Chaiyaphruek Road, Bang Phlap District, Nonthaburi Province, the police launched a raid under a search warrant issued by the Nonthaburi Provincial Court on January 3, number 5/2568. They seized a large amount of communication equipment, electronic devices, and computer data recording devices, and obtained important evidence related to the case. Additionally, a Lamborghini Urus was seized at the scene, which was used by a suspect in online gambling.
Furthermore, the police also seized 121 luxury cars in a mansion near Ratchaphruek Road in Bangkok. The police are currently conducting an in-depth investigation into the origins of these vehicles to determine if they were acquired through legal channels. Preliminary findings indicate that some of the vehicles are involved in import and tax issues, and the police will conduct a comprehensive investigation to ensure that all involved parties are treated fairly.
In addition to the "S-Car Import Car" company and the mansion, the Thai police also raided a residence on Khlong Phra Udom Street in Bang Phlap District, Nonthaburi Province, and a residence in Baan Sammakon Ramkhamhaeng, Bang Kapi District, Bangkok. These locations also yielded communication equipment, electronic devices, and computer data recording devices, as well as a large amount of account information and key evidence related to the case.
The success of this operation not only dealt a significant blow to the "Macau888" online gambling site but also served as a powerful deterrent against cybercrime in Thailand. The Thai police will continue to maintain a high-pressure stance, intensifying efforts to combat cybercrime, and striving to maintain the safety and stability of Thai society.
