On December 25th, the Metropolitan Police Bureau of Thailand raided an apartment in the Ranghen area of Bangkok, arresting a Chinese man and his girlfriend, and seized a batch of equipment used for telecommunications fraud.
Previously, while tracking a Chinese telecom fraud gang, the police discovered that the apartment was hiding a fraud nest, prompting a surprise inspection. Investigations revealed that the apartment was managed by a 19-year-old Chinese man and his Chinese girlfriend. Inside, there were 8 SimBoxes in operation, along with 2 internet routers, 1 network switch, 1 CCTV camera, and 1 set of backup power.
Although the Chinese male suspect denied the allegations, the police found during their background check that he had been in Thailand since June this year, and his phone contained photos of several other apartments in central Bangkok. Therefore, the police speculated that the suspect might have rented multiple apartments to assemble the fraud equipment and monitored them with CCTV to guard against police searches.
Currently, the police are further gathering evidence to apply for a search warrant to investigate other locations. Meanwhile, the Chinese male suspect has been handed over to other police for interrogation, and whether his Chinese girlfriend is involved in illegal criminal activities is still under investigation.
Thailand arrests another Chinese national, caught installing telecom fraud devices in an apartment with his girlfriend.

Scams are unwelcome wherever they go; it's simply incompetence, as I said.

Jungle gets caught everywhere.
