Lotte Tour Development's Jeju Dream Tower casino, exclusive for foreigners, reached a revenue of KRW 51.59 billion (approximately USD 36.1 million) in July, marking the highest monthly performance in 2026 and the second highest in the project's history, only behind September 2025.
Monthly Revenue Increased by 18.8% Year-on-Year
The casino's revenue in July increased by 18.8% compared to the same period in 2025, and by 5.8% compared to June. Table games generated KRW 48.91 billion, up 17.7% year-on-year; slot machine revenue reached KRW 2.69 billion, setting a new monthly record since the opening, with a sequential increase of 76.8%.
Betting Volume Decreased but Hold Percentage Improved
The table games' turnover was KRW 2167.6 billion, down 9.9% year-on-year and 3.5% month-on-month. Revenue still grew, mainly due to the table games' hold percentage rising to 22.6%, which is 1.6 percentage points higher than in June and 5.3 points higher than the same period last year, showing significant fluctuations in win rates for the month.
Visitor Numbers Close to Historical Record
In July, the casino welcomed 62,706 visitors, a 10.6% increase year-on-year, just below the record of 63,192 set in May. Cumulative Revenue for the First Seven Months Increased by Over 30%
From January to July 2026, the casino's cumulative revenue was KRW 3173.4 billion (about USD 222 million), up 33.3% year-on-year; the table games' turnover during the same period was nearly KRW 1.43 trillion, up 13.1%, indicating that business growth does not solely rely on a high hold percentage month.
Hotel Business Also Benefits from the Recovery of International Tourism
Hotel revenue in July was KRW 8.78 billion, up 11.3% year-on-year, with a cumulative total of KRW 497.1 billion for the first seven months. South Korea had welcomed over 10 million foreign tourists by the end of June, with visa conditions, the Korean won exchange rate, and Chinese tourist demand all contributing to the foreigner-exclusive casino's customer base.
Early Bond Repayment Still Poses Financial Pressure
NV8 Holdings exercised the early repayment option for KRW 35 billion out of KRW 70 billion in privately placed convertible bonds, requiring Lotte Tour to pay a total of KRW 435.4 billion including principal and earnings by August 31. Strong operational data needs to be assessed alongside short-term debt arrangements.
